As a food scientist, I love seeing how food trends evolve, especially as we continue to learn more about how food impacts our health. Recently, consumers have shifted towards prioritising nutrition in their diet. This is awesome to see as food scientists, because we can use our creativity and knowledge to develop nutritious alternatives to the unhealthy foods we all love. However, sometimes, we don’t realise that the best form of nutrition comes from nature itself. Superfoods like New Zealand Bee Pollen Granules are a perfect example of “Best things come in small packages” – these little nuggets are packed with nutrition and are a super eco-friendly way to add protein to your diet.
One reason to love this magic in a bottle is because of how much nutrient is packed within these granules. As a vegetarian, it is tricky to incorporate protein in my diet. But the food scientist in me knows the importance of protein as a macronutrient. New Zealand's Bee Pollen Granules are a naturally complete protein source, which contains all nine essential amino acids (Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan, and Valine) that our bodies need but can't make on their own. So, adding these Bee Pollen Granules into my diet is an easy way to ensure I am getting some protein to remain strong. Plus, it's sustainable!
Growing up, Mum would always nag me about not eating veggies and not getting enough vitamins and minerals in my body. Only after becoming a food scientist did I understand the importance of these micronutrients. Vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are as important as macronutrients, as they also play a huge role in keeping us healthy and happy. This is why New Zealand Bee Pollen Granules are a burst of nutritional goodness! They are packed with essential minerals such as Zinc, Magnesium, Iron, Calcium, and Potassium. Plus, they are a great source of Vitamins C, E, B1, B2, B6 and B12. It gets even better because it also contains antioxidants such as flavonoids and carotenoids.
You and I can glow with immunity with the amount of nutrition packed within these granules. Protein is the powerhouse nutrient that helps rebuild and repair the body's tissues, supports enzyme and hormonal production, and boosts our immunity. This is why I use Bee Pollen Granules to increase my protein intake. Vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are just as important as macronutrients, as they also play a huge role in keeping us healthy and happy. They support the body's essential functions to enhance immunity, skin health, and well-being. Also, thanks to this superfood's minimal processing and nutrient-dense profile, it is highly bioavailable. This means our body can easily absorb the nutrients and utilise them to support important functions. It is also easy to digest because the bee pollen granules contain amylase, protease and lipase. These are digestive enzymes that break down protein, fat and carbs.
My favourite thing about these Bee Pollen Granules is their clean and eco-friendly nature. Like fresh fruit and veggies, these golden nuggets are free from additives and have gone through minimal processing. This is incredible because by adding this to my diet, I can get an immunity boost without compromising the flavour of my delicious meals. This is something raw fruits and veggies can never do, right? Plus, it is a sustainable way to increase protein. This is gold because, as a food scientist, I know the importance of the goodness nature has to offer, and I am always looking for a way to increase sustainability in my diet. This product really is an all-rounder!
