We love bees and the wonderful gifts they give us and guarantee that none are harmed in the bee venom collection process.  How it works: The substance is gathered by putting a specially-adapted pane of glass alongside a hive. The glass has a weak electrical current running through it, which encourages the bees to “sting” it. They release venom which is then collected from the surface. Normally when a bee stings someone, the bee dies because when they pull away their abdomen stays attached to the sting and is ripped out of their body, killing them.  But that doesn’t happen when they sting the glass – they can’t penetrate the surface with their stinger so remain unharmed.

All our products are proudly made in New Zealand.

On occasion, we source some ingredients internationally when none are locally available.

Pop starch is an eco-friendly packaging material made from renewable plant resources like corn starch. It's biodegradable and compostable, making it a great choice for reducing waste. However, it shouldn't go in the recycling bin. Instead, dispose of it in your compost bin or general waste, as it breaks down naturally and won't harm the environment.
