Women’s love affair with beauty has always been a fact of life, with those in the public eye feeling more pressure than most to look camera-ready at all times. Lucky for them, A-listers and royalty tend to have endless access to expert advice and money, and therefore the means to be on the cutting edge of every beauty treatment known to man.

Not surprisingly though, they keep turning back to nature to achieve their glowing skin and flawless complexions - and specifically, they are turning more and more to the bees!

From the Roman era where Cleopatra was said to bathe in milk and then slather on Royal Jelly – that gooey substance loaded with nutrition used to feed the young and to turn a normal worker bee into a queen bee – to more modern times……

According to reports, the likes of Victoria Beckham, Kourtney Kardashian and Meghan Markle all choose to nourish their complexions from within with healthy doses of Bee Pollen for breakfast – composed of over 250 substances including amino acids, lipids, vitamins, macronutrients, micronutrients, and flavonoids – no wonder Victoria recently tweeted she was obsessed with the stuff! Kourtney adds in a healthy dose of collagen powder as well, while Meghan makes sure her pollen is from NZ and combines it with NZ Manuka Honey.

Like Cleopatra, Madonna is even said to be a fan of slathering Royal Jelly on her derriere!

And then, of course, there’s Kate Middleton’s fave – Kate reportedly used Bee Venom Mask treatments made from New Zealand Bee Venom and Manuka Honey before her 2011 wedding. Dubbed by the media as ‘nature’s botox’, these masks quickly gained in popularity among A-listers due to their ability to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin, improve skin tone and plump out fine lines.

So with all the beauty choices in the world to choose from, it’s good to know that we’re in good company with our skin care choices!
