New Zealand brand shines on the world stage with its innovative honey-based skincare product.
Natural skin care and wellness brand abeeco has taken out First Place in the prestigious Global Green Beauty Awards 2025, winning the title of Best Honey-Based Product for its Bee Venom Mask.
The Global Green Beauty Awards celebrate the best in clean, sustainable, and eco-conscious beauty from around the world. This year's competition included over 700 entries from leading global skincare and cosmetic brands.
Abeeco's hero product, the Bee Venom Mask, stood out for it unique formulation combining purified Bee Venom, Manuka honey, shea butter, and botanical oils, delivering a powerful, natural alternative to more invasive beauty treatments. It has long been a cult favourite for it's firming effects and glow-enhancing properties.
The Bee Venom Mask first gained international attention in 2011, when reports emerged that Kate Middleton (now Princess of Wales) used Bee Venom facials in the lead-up to her royal wedding to Prince William. The treatment was reportedly recommended by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and the ingredient quickly gained the nickname "nature's Botox" in beauty media.
Abeeco, a pioneer of bee venom skincare in New Zealand, saw an immediate spike in global demand. The product was praised by beauty editors and bloggers worldwide, and celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Gwyneth Paltrow were soon linked to bee venom skincare rituals.
Dubbed internationally as the natural alternative to Botox, the bee venom contained in the mask tricks the skin into thinking it has been lightly stung. This micro-stimulation encourages the skin to increase its natural production of collagen and elastin, resulting in a tightening and smoothing effect. The results are cumulative - the longer it's used, the more visible the improvements become.
Abeeco's Bee Venom Mask is formulated with ethically collected bee venom (no bees are harmed) and Manuka Honey, all sustainably sourced from New Zealand. The mask is cruelty-free, paraben-free, and proudly made using natural ingredients.
"We're absolutely thrilled to be recognised in a global level" says Jude Salisbury, Managing Director of abeeco. "To be judged the world's best honey-based product is a huge honour - and a testament to the incredible efforts of New Zealand bee-based ingredients."
The award-winning Bee Venom Mask is available via www.abeeco.com and select retailers.
Founded in New Zealand, abeeco combines nature and science to create premium natural health and skincare products. With a focus on bee-based ingredients, the brand is known for it's high quality formulations using local and sustainable sources.
