Among their findings were:

Effective for the Treatment of Acne: The bacteria that causes Acne in humans was found to be reduced through the bactericidal effects of Manuka oil.
Traditional Use: The Manuka plant has been used traditionally by Maori for a variety of ailments, including skin conditions, sores, itching, pain relief and as a mouthwash.
